Save the Date for Fall Activities in Meridian, Idaho

Looking ahead it may be hard to imagine but fall is just around the corner. We know it’s a busy time of year as summer activities wrap up, kids go back-to-school, and you start to plan your fall calendar. However, we don’t want you to miss out on the fun going on in and around the city of Meridian. Here are a few events coming up that you’ll want to be sure to save the date and join in on the fun. 

1000 Lights Water Lantern Festival at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park

Date: Saturday, Aug. 17

Details: Celebrate the good and bright things in life at the 1000 Lights Water Lantern Festival. Family, friends, and individuals are invited to experience a magical night as we light the water with thousands of floating water lanterns. 

Concerts on Broadway- Meridian City Hall

Date: Saturday, Sept. 7

Details: The City of Meridian and local business sponsors present the Concerts on Broadway Series. The All New High Street Band Featuring Special Guest Emily Stanton will be performing. This is a free concert at Meridian City Hall.

Details: The City of Meridian and local business sponsors present the Concerts on Broadway Series. The Big Wow Band will be performing. This is a free concert at Meridian City Hall.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Julius Kleiner Park

 Date: Saturday, Oct. 5

Details: The Alzheimer’s Association Walk is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Join us for this inspiring event that calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fund raise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness. Together we can end Alzheimer’s disease!

Jacob's Legs "Motors for Muscles" an MDA Event at Scentsy Commons

Date: Saturday, Oct. 5 

Details: People living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and other related neuromuscular diseases, are robbed of the strength that most of us take for granted every day – the strength to walk, talk, laugh, hug, even breath. At MDA, we give strength to those who need it most. Our muscle walks are celebrations of giving strength. An opportunity to recognize the members of our community -- you, supporters, caregivers, friends and family – and come together in support of our common cause. Sign up for Muscle Walk as an individual, with a team, or create your own team. Ask others to join and support you with a donation — they'll be grateful for a fun and rewarding experience.

Concerts on Broadway- Meridian City Hall

Date: Saturday, Oct. 5th 

Details: The City of Meridian and local business sponsors present the Concerts on Broadway Series. Kevin Kirk & Onomatopoeia will be playing at this free concert located at Meridian City Hall.  

Meridian Community Block Party at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park

Date: Saturday, Sept. 7

Details: The Meridian Community Block Party is designed to unite businesses and organizations whose programs promote healthy lifestyles, develop creativity and inspire the concept of play. The free event will be held at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park on Saturday, September 7. The day features a huge variety of vendors from the local community. NEW this year -- A special "Bark Party" section devoted to dogs! Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome to attend.

The Farmstead Corn Maze & Pumpkin Festival 2019

Dates: Sept. 20-Oct. 30

Details: The Farmstead is Idaho's most popular fall destination. They have moved to their new location (2500 South Eagle Road - Kuna, ID). Fall festivities kick off in September so be sure to check their calendar regularly. Once again, the farm will be offering plenty of farm-tastic fun for the whole family! Pick pumpkins at their patch, take an authentic tractor-drawn hayride, enjoy some farm-fresh food, and of course, get lost in Idaho's Original Corn Maze. They will have something for everyone to enjoy!

Village on The Run 5K at The Village

Date: Saturday, Sept. 14

Details: Register today for the 2nd Annual Village on the Run 5K. Back by popular demand, the race’s unique course is ready for a repeat. This is for walkers to runners- and it’s like no other race. The course starts at 8 am at Fleet Feet Meridian winding through the streets of The Village in Meridian.  Race past your favorite stores and restaurants while we pump out your favorite running tunes throughout the course.  Cross the finish line at Fleet Feet Meridian and capture your memory at our Victory Photo Booth. Post the fun to your favorite social media site.  Bring the whole family to walk or run this fun racecourse.  Register today!

Witches Night Out 2019 Fundraiser at the Village

Date: Wednesday, Oct. 16

Details: Witches Night Out Fundraiser - Supporting the Women’s & Children’s Alliance & National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Meridian Trunk-Or-Treat

Date: Thursday, Oct. 24

Details: Meridian transforms into a Halloween extravaganza as costumed-kids run from trunk to trunk picking up treats! Over 100 businesses and organizations decorate trunks of cars, pop-up tents or truck beds to embrace the spirit of Halloween. Some are silly and some are spooky, and all have treats for the kids! The fest also features some funky beats from DJs, food trucks, a costume parade and performances from Ballet Folklorico, so there’s something for the older crowd to enjoy as well!

Christmas In Meridian: Winter lights Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting-Meridian City Hall

Date: Friday, Dec. 6 

Details: Downtown Meridian will glow with Christmas spirit as the City of Meridian presents Christmas in Meridian. Throughout December local businesses and the community draw together to host a variety of events and activities to celebrate the magic of the holiday season together. 

The 7th Annual Winter Lights Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting will kick off the festivities on Friday, December 7, 2019. The Winter Lights Parade will light up the night in a fantastic display your family will love. The evening will also feature the lighting of Meridian's Christmas Tree in Generations Plaza on the corner of Main and Idaho. Buddy the Elf will be here to help Santa ignite the imaginations and joy in the hearts of young and old alike.
