Buying a home can be exciting and fun, especially if you know what to expect. Here is a checklist so you are prepared.
- Buyer appointment
- Home search criteria
- Blue Brochure/ Buyer Representation Agreement
- Lender pre-qualification/ pre-approval (call me for referrals)
- Good Faith Estimate/ Truth in Lending from lender
- Get homeowner’s insurance info to buyer and seller
- Email MLS listings to you (if applicable)
- Showings
- Offer/ Negotiations/ Acceptance
- Official loan commitment letter to Seller
- Property Disclosure Form
- Lead Based Paint disclosure form (if applicable)
- Home inspection
- Get necessary information to Insurance Company for Homeowner’s Insurance
- Repairs
- Review Title Commitment/Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs)
- Appraisal
- Put utilities in your name (from date of possession)
- Final walk-through (verify items left in home per contract; check repairs)
- Closing/sign documents at the Title Company
- Fund and record at the County
- Receive keys/garage door opener (if applicable)
- Moving (call me for referrals)
